Earl Okin's career is a remarkable one. Singing and performing before he could walk,or even talk, Earl first appeared on TV during the 50's when he was 12, yet is still contemporary, performing on MTV2 and with modern rock bands such as Boy Kill Boy. He performs what he claims are the original Bossa Nova versions of songs that have subsequently become hits, such as "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus and Nirvana's "Smells. Like a Teen Spirit".

In this video podcst, recorded outside Meka's coffee bar in Portobello Rd market, London, Earl takes us through his life and career, discusses his vast 10,000 record collection, his influences and his "cool" car, an original Rover 95.

I'm delighted to also say that Earl was unable to resist performing and in this video podcast we have a couple of delightful songs, a Bossa Nova number and a Jazz one too, featuring Earl on guitar and virtual trumpet...
