In my interview on Pod3.tv, I mention that I am writing a novel on cosmology, evolution and consciousness.

While researching the novel, I found an amazing number of references to events that may transpire in 2012. In amongst all the tales of Armageddon and Apocalypse, there seem to be some common threads that a global change is about to occur which is not all doom and gloom.

It seems we are approaching a tipping point in our collective consciousness fueled by a increasing understanding of our world. In contrast and parallel, there is overuse of natural resources and increasing imbalance between rich and poor - not just in the Third World.

As a result, something is likely to go into tilt - but it could tilt in a good way.

The worlds of the quantum physicist and the spiritually inclined seem to be harmonising in the shape a Grand Unified Theory. Both parties though aren't totally aware of what they have uncovered and don't necessarily share each others' views.

The book the Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra gives a fairly detailed and balanced outline of the subject and this new YouTube video from New Scientist tells of another development in the story very graphically and eloquently. This elegant model by Garrett Lisi may at last reveal the link between gravity and the other fundamental forces of nature. What's more amazing is that Garrett dropped out of academia to go and find it by going surfing in Hawaii and snowboarding in Lake Tahoe - this is what he came up with.

These patterns match neatly with symbology that are thousands of years old. References to higher dimensional existence are littered across metaphysical texts and eight dimensions fit many models.

As all these 'thoughts' come from a common source - our consciousness - intuitively, there must be a link.

Switching on of the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva next year will be a significant event for the planet as a whole and may even give the Strange Attractor the final nudge.
